Fairly simple early Schiavona guard with a bled hilt, rayskin and wire grip and bronze Cats head Pommel.

The Schiavona was supposed to have appeared in the 16thc, as the sword used by the guard of the Doge of Venice. The guard were mainly Dalmatian Slavs(Schiavoni).
